  • xcessive Underarm Sweating Treated With Axilase or VASER Lipo Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is now being treated with advanced technologies such as the Axilase or VASER Lipo for permanent results.
  • VASER Lipo treatment has really only been used in the underarms because it's doable; it's easier in that area.  In other areas, like the hands and other parts of the body it would be a lot more difficult.
  •  VASER Lipo destroys a portion of sweat glands and more importantly, the ultrasound renders the sweat glands inactive.
  •  procedure is more expensive but it is comparable to continual visits for BOTOX treatments.
  • And while sweating is a normal occurrence and necessary to keep the body cool, excessive sweating in public functions can be embarrassing and a nuisance.
  • Ther are options for sweating under the arm
  • Other options should be tried before you try more invasive and aggressive procedures
  • If nothing else works the patient might want to consider ETS.
Please note that in most cases Doctors do not recommend endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) for excessive underarm sweating.
  • While ETS is perhaps the most commonly discussed, (as well as criticized) surgery for hyperhidrosis, there are other, far less risky, and far more predictable, options for people who suffer from excessive sweating of the underarms.

  • As a last resort Dr. Gary Rothfeld refers patients to Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General because it has one of the best centers for endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) for excessive underarm sweating in the world.
The Hyperhidrosis Surgery Service, part of the Mass General Division of Thoracic Surgery, includes board-certified thoracic surgeons who have a tremendous amount of experience treating hyperhidrosis surgically.

Although surgery for hyperhidrosis is relatively simple, as with all operations, it still carries some risk. At Mass General, patients undergo the procedure at a premier hospital that provides safe, high-quality care
