- CoolGlide is one of the only laser hair removal systems that is FDA approved for permanent hair reduction, defined as a long term, stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing after a treatment regime.
- CoolGlide Laser The CoolGlide laser is a 1064nm laser, which is the longest wavelenth available.
- Patients with fair skin respond the fastest, but patients with deep tans or dark skin pigmentation can also be treated effectively.
- With adequate treatment, patients can achieve a 90% or greater reduction in hair in treated areas, but treatment results do vary among patients.
- During a treatment session, the laser's cooling handpiece is placed gently on the skin, and is glided over the skin as pulses of light are delivered from the laser.
